New ACTA is .... Noble Armada
The new license/setting for ACTA has been revelaed as Noble Armada, part of the fading Suns setting. I know very little about this but Mike guessed before the oficial announcement . I'll wait to see what they reveal about the plans for the game before getting too carried away. I'm a bit MEH at the moment.

put it together about 7.30 last night, I was not going to post on the mongoose forums, but then i thought of all the times the rules were revised and
the rulebooks that refused to stay together and so i thought that a little rain on Mr Spranges parade seamed apropriate,

Having read the forums, I don't think it's getting the support that Mongoose was hoping for!
Oh what a shame!!
Probbaly give it a go, but with FA available and my old ACTA ships, why should I bother?

This is due out at the end of February. Anyone have the slightest interest?

Nope - Having met some ACTA players on Saturday at a campaign tourney; there was not the slightest bit of interest!
In the words of Neville Chamberlain "Herr Sprange has missed the bus"
To little, to late! I await to be surprised, but I don't think I will be!

So does this mean you're not going to buy it. I think you're right but i'm just curious. Because people buying it out of curiosity still means sales to the lesser spotted Mongoose.
I will not be buying it unless the game is one adopted by the group and I have an urge to play but i'm guessing if you don't buy into it, no one else will.

If I want to play big fleet battles I would use FA. If I want to play smaller actions then good old FT will do and if I want to play ship on ship then I would use, er... SFB
D-Man we still need to give Firestorm Armada a go.

I will not be buying NA, unless I hear some really good reports.
I am hoping to run a game as soon as the mini's are ready; but can run a test game using my ACTA mini's if anyone is interested?

Never thought i'd see the day when Digger would pass on ACTA. Still, I agree with your reasoning and I have even less motivation than you. Tell you what, if you want to organise a game of Firestorm Armada, I'd be interested in at least giving it a go. Let me know.

Ha ha ha ha - yeah serves them right. Maybe they'll now have to bring back the original ACTA again?

I wish they would Chris, but I think they lost the licence when Matt Sprange pissed off WB!
