Another idea i had whilst on the school run.

2 of you are MI6 agents the other is a Russian defector you are in eastern Europe and have to get to West Berlin where you're plane will take you to England and freedom. It will be a race to East Berlin and across the wall.

all done in a single session. (Could be dragged out over 3 maybe)

if id have thought about it earlier i could have run it for the 20th anniversary.

it would a savage worlds adventure.

Your thoughts

Yes/No/Piss off.

I really like this idea. I've often thought about running a spooks type espionage game. Got to play it straight though.

Can I suggest that you look at the Crime City downloads from the pinnacle website? This has lots of ways of making games much more gritty and realistic.

Sounds great, I love the idea of an espionage thriller especially if its based on the novels of John Le Carre. Is the role of George Smiley available to play in your game? Perhaps we could play Scalp Hunters employed by The Circus to bring back the Russian defector Karla? I've watched the BBC dramatisations of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People (which I own on DVD if you wish to borrow them), so am quite familiar with this genre, terminology (i.e lamplighters, scalphunters, Witchcraft, Operation Testify etc) and the characters, so would very much like to take part in this game. Very Happy

i was thinking more like Smiliey was in charge and he sent you putting it after the Karla books, but having them as a back drop for anyone who has read or listened to them. i have not seen Tinker... since the first round of repeats late 70's early 80's so am very rusty i am planing to listern to the BBC radio play thouh as a refresh for next year.

once i am ready to create the PC's i'll get you to produce the "Phrase book"...

Looking forward to playing some of your Smilie's People game. Interestingly there is a new film version of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy coming out this year with an all star cast including Gary Oldman (as George Smilie), Mark Strong (as Jim Prideaux), Benedict Cumberbatch (as Peter Guillam), Tom Hardy (as Ricky Tarr), Kathy Burke (as Connie Sachs), plus Ciaran Hinds (as Bland), Colin Firth (as Bill Haydon), Toby Jones (as Percy Alleline) and David Dencik (as Esterhase).

I would like to know is what people want.

1, A complex spy drama set in the Cold war
2, A High Octaine James bond caper, full of inuendo.
3, A BRP game with the slight chance it maybe Mythos
4, A Delta Green Spy thriller against left over Nazis (Karotechia) from WWII
5, A All flesh Must be eaten survival Horror game.
6, A Spy game where you are the Russians?
7, A pulpy one

or any other combination
