Age of Dreadnoughts

Hey! None of you Mongoose fans told me Age of Dreadnoughts was out. Anyone got it, planning on getting it?

Yes - I shall be attending the Mongoose Weekend (9th/10th May) where I shall be buying a copy and giving it a go.

Do you want me to pick you up a copy?

I may be interested in picking it up at some point. Certainly wouldn't mind giving it a go.

Is it a stand alone game, or do you need the VAS rules too? I would probably be prepared to blow £20 on the game as I like the VAS system, but not sure I would be prepared to lay out another £20 for the WWII stuff that I'm not really interested in.

I believe you need the VAS rules, which I have and could probably be convinced to part with for a reasonable sum

Digger and I gave AoD a go last week. It was a pretty good game, although initially a bit daunting because of the changes from ACTA. I think we'll have another go in a few weeks.

Actually, I quite enjoyed it, although I think a better reading of the rules would have helped me more!

So definitely up for another game, I have created some ship sheets to give the game another go, perhaps this time with more ships, say 2 per side?
