New Season US Shows

I've been downloading and watching some of the new US TV shows over the last couple of weeks. Here's a few random thoughts as a lot of these are showing up on UK channels as well -

Prime Suspect - A reimagining of the Helen Mirren show with the new character as a detective in the NYPD. First episode was pretty watchable, despite being a pale shadow of the original. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

The New Girl - New comedy with Zooey Deschanel as a "ditzy" girl who moves in with three guys to get over a difficult breakup. Not much of a premise, i'll grant you but I enjoyed this. Extremely funny writing and good performances.

Ringer - Drama starring Sarah-Michelle Gellar. Starts on Living tonight, I think. This was ok, if a bit daft. I predict this won't last the season.
