Fleet Lists Empty Fleet Lists

While waiting for some paint to dry i decided to do an inventry of the ship mini`s
i`ll have available for when the game comes out.

FEDERATION

1 x Dreadnaught
1 x modded Dreadnaught(could stand in for a BC)
1 x Flatbed Carrier
1 x micro machine Enterprise (stand in for a Comand cruiser)
4 x Fed CA`s
1 x NCL (4 if you proxy Reliants for NCL`s)
1 x olds style `Texas` class light cruiser
4 x Saladin class Destroyers
1 x `Grissom` class (could stand in for a scout)
2 x Burk class frigates
1 x Tug + 2 pods

KLINGON

1 x B10 battleship
1 x C8/9 Dreadnaught
1 x `Dinky` D7 (could stand in for one of the smaller C class cruisers)
3 x D7 battlecruisers
2 x F5 frigates

ROMULAN
1 x Condor Dreadnaught
1 x Micro machine BoP(could be used as a Vuluture Dreadnaught)
1 x `Dinky` D7 in rom colours*
1 x Micro machine D7 in rom coulours*
1 x KR `Kestral` cruiser
1 x K5R frigate in rom colours
2 x Sparrowhawk war cruisers
1 x Skyhawk destroyer
1 x Seahawk Frigate
2 x snipe frigates
Numerous classic BoP`s in differant scales
* 2 ships from differant makers that could proxy for lager ships

This covers the fleets that will probably be in the core rule book

I know i have 3 ships, i think a Dreadnaught, heavy cruiser and a light cruiser but as i cant find them i cant be sure.

These ship will be available for use when we get the game if people need them or want to try out a differant fleet.

Plenty to choose from! Nice fleet selection, I would have thought you would have had more Klingon's to play though! Very Happy

Must admitt, so did i. However since about a third of the ships i bought got a Romulan paint scheam....and once everyones got their fleets the one`s i have may go that way as well....

I found another Fed Scout of yours which i think you loaned me to use as the USS Hermes. You can add that to your list. I also found a Corgi D7 which is blue (!) but could be used in a pinch.

I have enough mini`s to get through the first wave of release`s without buying any of the new stuff(YEAH right..!), and i am assuming that the second wave will have the Kzinti`s and that is the fleet that i have most interest in at the moment(course they may play like shite in wich case they will be dropped like a rock)

i have had some thoughts on how I would do the cloak..

The cloak is activated at the start of the turn, before movement and must be active for one compleate turn,
Once activated the mini is replaced by a counter, and this is moved in all respects as if it was the ship( this represents the fact that enemy ship crews are able to track the disturbance but have no real idea of where it is exactly) It may be fired at but has a stealth rating of 6(scouts may add to this) and may only be attacked with 1/4 of the avilable attack dice, (this represent the Depth charging of space by the opossing fleet)

When the ship decides to decloak it does so after movement but before fireing. during decloaking the mini may be placed anywhare within its movement rateing of the counter, so if it has movement of 8,) it may be placed anywhere within 8 inches of the counter faceing any direction.
However....every enemy ship that is within range(not sure how far)
of the decloacking ship may make a crew quality(again scouts may add to this) check and for every sucses the distance from the counter is reduced by 1, so if the above ship decloaks in the middle of 5 enemy ships and they all pass the CQ check, the player will have to place the mini within 3 inches of the counter insteads of 8, and instead of decloaking behind the Fed Ca may end up in front of it.
On the turn that it decloaks the ship may only fire a limited number of weapons(not sure how to work that out)but suspect it would be plasma`s and a couple of phasers.

These are just a few ideas based on how i would do it, based on hints and comments that have turned up on the forum.
