For the love of cardboard
I'm very taken with a set of quick play fantasy skirmish rules called Song of Blades and Heroes. I was thinking that it would be the perfect team-up with the paper figures produced by One Monk. Combined with various cardboard scenary bits available, this would be a cheap and quick way to do some miniatures gaming. Going 'cardboard' would also mean that those who lack the time, money or resources to get into miniatures proper could also get involved - all you need is a printer and a sharp knife, no paint or painting required.
I know there is much love amongst this forum for cardboard figures and scenary so was wondering if anyone else feels the same way?

Yep, I totally agree. There's no way I can get involved with the cost of miniatures but cardboard would provide an in.

The nice thing about the One Monk figures is that you also get uncoloured versions, so if you want to customise and recolour them you can 'scratch' that painting urge as well.
